Our Story
A Punjabi kitchen in Singapore that cooks like home.
Mini Panjab Catering is a Singapore-registered Punjabi food kitchen (UEN 202333730D) operating from Foodxchange at 8a Admiralty Street. We cook the food we grew up eating — dal that's simmered overnight, sarson da saag from real mustard greens, rotis off the tava one at a time — and we deliver it fresh across Singapore every single day.
Why we started
Singapore has plenty of "Indian food" — but very little homemade Punjabi food the way it tastes back home. Restaurant Indian food tends to be heavy, oily, and built for one big meal out. What was missing was the kind of food you'd eat every day if your mother or your bibiji was cooking — balanced, fresh, hot, and made with the same ingredients she'd actually use.
We started Mini Panjab Catering to fill that gap. Our first customers were foreign workers and Indian families in Woodlands and Admiralty who wanted real homemade tiffin instead of restaurant takeaway. From there, the kitchen grew into a full catering operation — daily tiffin plans, corporate office lunches, weddings, dorms, and family events.
Our promise: nothing is reheated overnight. Every tiffin and every catering tray leaves the kitchen the same morning it was cooked. If a dish doesn't taste right, we'd rather not send it.
The kitchen
We cook out of Foodxchange — a Singapore Food Agency licensed central kitchen complex at 8a Admiralty Street, Woodlands 757437. That gives us:
- A licensed, inspected, hygienic prep environment
- Dedicated stations for veg and non-veg
- Cold storage and morning produce delivery from the wholesale market
- A tava station for fresh rotis cooked to order
- Direct delivery vehicles for our island-wide tiffin and catering runs
Hygiene isn't optional in catering. Every cook on our line follows the same SFA-compliant kitchen protocols — washed, gloved, hairnet on, temperature-logged. The reason your tiffin is hot when it arrives isn't luck; it's a sealed transport chain from stove to your door.
What we cook
Real Punjabi food, not "Indian food". Some of the recipes come from family kitchens in Punjab; others have been refined over thousands of meals served in Singapore. A short list of what's on rotation every week:
- Slow-cooked dal makhani — overnight tempering, real cream, no shortcuts
- Sarson da saag when the greens are in season
- Rajmah-chawal the way it's eaten on a cold Punjab afternoon
- Aloo paratha and stuffed paratha for weekend breakfasts
- Punjabi-style chicken curry, not restaurant butter chicken
- Kadi pakoda — yogurt curry, dropped pakode
- Sabji rotation — bhindi, aloo gobhi, baingan bharta, mixed veg
- Roti, naan, kulcha — never frozen, always fresh
- Halwa, kheer, gulab jamun, kulfi for desserts
